About The Hubble Space Telescope Images

The Hubble Space Telescope has aided scientists with numerous discoveries and allowed for significant advances in our understanding of the universe. For many of us, the beautiful pictures it has produced invoke a sense of wonder and amazement about the vast expanse of space – they are simply breathtaking.

Each picture on this website can be found at hubblesite.org, along with hundreds of other fascinating images and videos. We also encourage you to view the wonderful NOVA special titled Invisible Universe Revealed, which aired on PBS on April 22, 2015. The documentary chronicles the development and launch of the Hubble Space Telescope and discusses a few of the major discoveries it has played a part in.
